Choral Evensong Next Week, March 8 at 5:00 PM
In Celebration of Commonwealth Day
The Lieutenant Governor and Members of the Royal Commonwealth Society will be with us at Evensong
Preacher: Fr Jim McCorriston, the Rector of Chester
This beautiful service of Prayer Book Evensong will include Preces and Responses by William Byrd, Psalm settings by Hopkins and Kelway and the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis will be sung to the "Evening Service in C" by C.V.Stanford. The anthem will be "O Lord Make thy Servant Elizabeth" by Byrd. Organ Voluntary will be "Crown Imperial" by Walton. The service will be followed by a reception in the parish hall.
